From the Vallee d'Aoste, Italy's smallest and most unusual wine region, where the grapes are unique and local and the wines distinctive. Petite Arvine is a high-acid mountain grape which Le Clocher makes into this espressive, high-acid wine with a fruity nose of apple and pear. Leaner in the mouth, with a strong stony minerality under lemon citrus, pear, and dried apple fruit, it's refreshing and complete. Made in small quantities (250 cases) from old vines (60 years old), it's rare and refreshing.
