Product Description

This was the wine that sealed our newfound passion for Canary Island viticulture with a big, fat dried-raspberry-and-sweet-bay-leaf-scented kiss. The Ignios Orígenes winery is a working homage to the igneous rocks that define the otherworldly landscape of Tenerife. Owner and winemaker Borria Perez is a young man enamored with the singular terroir of the Canaries. The old vines of the Canaries show a commendable perseverance in their will to live, and Perez mirrors that unwavering commitment in his work; he has spent almost his entire life studying agriculture and learning from his father how to make wine.
