Cabassaou is a small south-facing parcel located on the hillside below La Tourtine. The vineyard climate benefits from being sheltered from the frigid mistral and cooled by summer breezes. This unique microclimate allows the Mourvedre grape to reach its potential and make an exceptional wine. Subtle bouquet while young, but developing notes of violet, leather and dark fruits with age. Complex flavors of fruit and spice with smooth, round tannins. A wine that will age for decades.
VARIETY: MOURVÈDRE (95%), CINSAULT (1%), SYRAH (4%). Vines are about 50 years old.
