Sylvain Fadat, mad genius of Montpeyroux, makes his entry-level wine with the same scrupulous care as his high-end wines. Lighter red, unfiltered, aged for six months in old oak it's very smooth and dry, with red currant, cherry, black raspberry and pomegranate fruit, brambly tannin, and savory herbs.
